Today San Salvador is the capital and largest city of the nation "El Salvador". Is the second most populous city in central america, after Guatemala City. It is home to 1.6 million people.

It is located by the valley among the foothhills of the Quezaltepec volcano.

The city is very beutiful and with a lot of important monuments.

San Salvador is a rich cultural city, with many places such as the historical centre or downtown, wich is one of the most beautiful arquitectures in town.

Funding Campaign

In 1485, I presented the plans of my journey to John II, King of Portugal. I proposed the king three ships, 1 year of sailing, to be the gobernor of the lands I discovered and to give the king 10 % of the land. But the King didn't accept it. I then travelled to Genoa and Venice, but neither of them agreed with my deal.
Finally, I explained my plan to Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile; they rule together because they are married. Fortunately they agreed! On May of 1486, permission for my voyage was granted.

The Great Coming of The 3 Gods

One day my mom told me to get water from the sea for dinner. I grabbed a basket and walked to the shore. When I pored water to the basket I noticed something strange on the water very far away. I couldn't figure what it was after a while the strange thing got closer, but it wasn't a thing it was "things". There were three enormous brown floating things. They also had big white sheets on top of the brown thing. I thought 3 gods were coming to help us. So I went to my mom running. I told her about the 3 gods. She got very surprised, and then we ran to the shore to see the gods. They were closer and closer. After a while the three gods arrived to the shore. Suddenly people like me but with strange clothes got out of the gods. One guy had a flag in his hand, then he placed the flag on the ground and start speaking a language I didn't understand. Then more people got out of the gods and start walking all around my village. That was the strangest thing and cool thing I have seen in my life.

The great Discoveries of Cristopher Columbus

On the evening of August 3rd 1492, I departed from "Palos de la Frontera", with three ships: Santa Maria, Pinta and Niña.
I was very exhausted after sailing a lot of days in the Santa Maria ship with all my crew members. Suddenly on October 12, 1492 at 2:00 a.m. I heard a voice that yelled "land ahoy!" I got up quickly, excited to see the land. The land was small from the boat but very green. After a while we arrived to the island, which is now Bahamas. We had finally reached the New World.
I got off the boat with a flag. When I touched the floor I placed the flag on the ground and named the island San Salvador. Suddenly strange people with weird clothes aproached us, most of the "people" had scars on their body; it was strange. They had some bows and arrows. The whole place was green and with a llot of wild animals. It was so cool.
